On 5 October, experts from BIO Deutschland’s member companies and organisations met during Biotechnica 2010 for the constitutive meeting of the new Working Group on Technology Transfer.

Topics discussed at the sixth meeting of BIO Deutschland’s Working Group on Health Policy, which took place in Munich on 15 October 2010, included further scrutiny of the Law on the New Regulation of the Medication Market, inspection of the Orphan Drug Regulation and its positive impact on research and development on medication for rare diseases, and biosimilars and biobetters.

BIO Deutschland welcomed the tribute paid to the role of biotechnological inventions and products by the Bio-Economy Research and Technology Council (BioEconomyCouncil).

As a result of the activities of BIO Deutschland’s working groups and the strategy meeting by the board of BIO Deutschland this summer, the association would like to set up a new Working Group on Communication/Public Relations.
