Treffen des “International Council of Biotech Associations” (ICBA)

Wie jedes Jahr seit seiner Gründung 2014 traf sich der International Council of Biotech Associations (ICBA) am Rande der BIO Convention. Am 5. Juni versammelten sich die mttlerweile 26 Mitglieder des Rats in Downtown San Francisco, um sich über aktuelle Entwicklungen in den jeweiligen Ländern auszutauschen, global wichtige Biotech-Themen zu besprechen und zukünftige Kooperationsprojekte zu diskutieren. Gleich  zu Beginn der Sitzung wurde die neue Leitung der ICBA vorgestellt, die vorab in geheimer Wahl ermittelt wurde. Die frühere Vize-Vorsitzende der ICBA und Generalsekretärin des europäischen Dachverbandes EuropaBIO Nathalie Moll ist für zwei Jahre neue Vorsitzende der internationalen Vereinigung. Andrew Casey, Präsident und CEO des kanadischen Biotechnoloigeverbandes BIOTECanada, wurde zu ihrem Stellvertretenden gewählt. BIO Deutschland war Gründunbsmitglied des “Councils“.
