On 23 February 2010, BIO Deutschland issued a position paper, “Health Policy Parameters in Germany”, as a press release to coincide with the appointment of the Governmental Commission that will prepare the next health reforms.
At the end of February 2010, BIO Deutschland commented on the latest report by the Federal Government’s Commission of Experts for Research and Innovation, as the conclusions of this report make clear that the coalition government is risking the sustainability of Germany as an economic location.
At the invitation of Epigenomics AG, experts from BIO Deutschland’s Working Group on Diagnostics met in Berlin on 11 February 2010. Topics on the agenda included the reform of the Standardised Medical Fee Scale.
An initial meeting on the preparation of an inaugural session of a new BIO Deutschland working group, which will deal exclusively with technology transfer, was held in Bonn.
On 6 February 2010, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom and the Reserves Association of Rhineland-Palatinate, in cooperation with the ICLS (International Council for the Life Sciences), hosted the First Biosecurity Forum, which was held at the Electoral Palace in Mainz.
