Europe: Discussions on Orphan Drugs and the Clinical Trials Directive in Brussels
On 5 September 2012, experts from European Biopharmaceutical Enterprises (EBE) and the European biotech association EuropaBio met in Brussels for the meeting of the Joint Rare Diseases and Orphan Medicinal Products Task Force.

On 24 September 2012, the German Institute for Standardisation (DIN) held a workshop in Berlin on biotechnology in norms and standards. Around 60 people attended the event, which was sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
