BIO Deutschland played an active role in this year’s Les Universités de Pharmaceutiques, which took place in Strasbourg on 6 and 7 December 2012. The annual conference brings together decision-makers and opinion leaders from the life sciences and the health sector in France.
On 27 November 2012, BIO Deutschland hosted a breakfast for politicians at the German Parliamentary Association in Berlin. The purpose of the event was to present information on the bioeconomy, a sector that is becoming increasingly important to Germany.
On 5 December 2012, the European Association of Pharma Biotechnology’s (EAPB) Special Interest Group (SIG) on Regulatory Aspects during Biopharmaceutical Development held a webinar on the revision of the Clinical Trials Directive. Twenty people across four continents took part in the webinar, which was given by Axel Wenzel, EAPB board member and head of the SIG.
BIO Deutschland’s Working Group on the Bioeconomy met at the association’s office in Berlin on 27 November 2012 to discuss the progress made by the group and to draw up more strategies for further policy work in this sector.
