Biotech CFO Summit celebrates its 10th anniversary
Some 80 finance experts from the German biotech sector met for the tenth time on 3 March to discuss current trends in financing for companies in this innovative sector. The anniversary event, hosted by long-time sponsor Deutsche Bank and organized by BIO Deutschland’s Working Group on Finance and Taxation, featured talks by CEOs and CFOs who have been active in the biotech sector since its birth.
BIO Deutschland attends German-Chinese Working Group meeting in Berlin
On 3 March, the German-Chinese Working Group on the Medical Industry and Biotechnology convened at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) in Berlin.
EuropaBio’s National Associations Council convenes in Brussels
National biotechnology associations came together on 9 March in Brussels for the spring meeting of the EuropaBio’s National Associations Council (NAC). Discussions focused on recent developments on biotech topics at the European level.
EuropaBio’s Healthcare Council holds meeting
On the same day as the NAC meeting, EuropaBio’s Healthcare Council (HC) also convened in Brussels for its first meeting of the year. The experts began the meeting by discussing whether and how the limited personnel resources could be used more effectively.
DIN/ISO biotechnology mirror committee holds web conference
In early March, the national mirror committee (DIN) of ISO Technical Committee 276 Biotechnology (ISO/TC) held a web conference. The leaders of the Task Groups “Terms and Definitions”, “Biobanks”, “Analytical Methods”, “Bioprocessing” and “Data Processing and Integration” reported on the national standardisation activities.
