The tenth edition of the German Biotech Days (DBT) was held in Würzburg from 9 to 10 April. The successful event drew some 770 participants to this Franconian city, situated on the Main River. In his opening address, Peter Heinrich, Chairman of the Board of BIO Deutschland, emphasised how important it is to discuss the achievements and potential of biotechnology with the various stakeholders.
The day before the German Biotech Days got under way, Würzburg was host to the first investors day in Germany to focus exclusively on biotechnology. Nearly 140 participants attended the Biotech Investors Day (BID) at the Congress Centrum Würzburg.
As in previous years, BIO Deutschland conducted a survey at the beginning of the year to gather data on companies operating in the biotechnology sector. The results were released, in cooperation with EY, as part of a press conference held on 8 April in Frankfurt.
