BIO Deutschland convened in Berlin for its 16th general assembly. In addition to the end-of-year review, the approval of the annual financial statement and the discharge of the board, the association elected a new board for the next two years.
On 3 September, the Federation of German Industries (BDI) and its members who are active in the bioeconomy sector held an innovation workshop focused on bioeconomy and biotechnology at the German Bundestag’s Paul-Löbe-Haus.
In late August, BIO Deutschland, together with eleven other associations and companies, issued a position paper entitled “Protecting the climate through sustainable renewable fuels", which they sent to government ministries.
BIO Deutschland took part in the meeting of the National Associations Council of EuropaBio, the European umbrella association for biotechnology.
