BIO Deutschland welcomes the European Commission’s initiative to create a European Biotech Act as an important step toward strengthening the competitiveness of biotechnology in Europe.
First Board Meeting of 2026
The Board met in Berlin in March for a two-day session. In addition to reports on, among other things, the Federal Government’s Pharmaceutical Dialogue, the High-Tech Agenda, and the EU Biotech Act, the operational strategy of the secretariat and the association was a central topic of the meeting.
Raspberry Flavor and Cancer Therapy, Diagnostics, and Peptide Technology – More Members Inducted into the “Biotech Hall of Fame”
Four more companies were inducted into the “Biotech Hall of Fame” in February and March. The platform was launched by BIO Deutschland to highlight successful biotech companies.
Delegation Trip to South Africa with the Federal Minister of Agriculture
Alois Rainer, the Federal Minister of Agriculture, Food, and Regional Identity, traveled to South Africa with a high-level business delegation. Germany is one of South Africa’s largest trading partners worldwide.
