The bioeconomy is of crucial importance for a sustainable, resource-efficient, and environmentally friendly economy. While also easing the transition to a sustainable circular economy and meeting societies needs in an environmentally friendly way. The transformation of the status quo challenges us all. But where do we stand today? How are research findings being translated into practice? The 5th International Bioeconomy Congress in Baden-Württemberg on September 18 and 19 in Fellbach aimed to provide an answer to this question. Christine Lang, Head of BIO Deutschland's Industrial Bioeconomy Working Group, and BIO Deutschland Managing Director Viola Bronsema made active contributions to the event.
