BIO Deutschland at the BVMA Symposium in Munich
On November 22, the 32nd symposium of the German Association of Medical Contract Research Organizations (BVMA) took place in Munich. The event focused on regulatory issues, digitalization in clinical research, AI applications and opportunities, and Germany as a location for clinical trials. In the latter thematic block, Viola Bronsema, Managing Director of BIO Deutschland, moderated a round table in the afternoon session entitled “Germany as a study location: Let's get to work!” with the discussion partners Matthias Meergans (vfa), Lars Nickel (BMG) and Leona Plum-Mörschel (Profil Institut für Stoffwechselforschung).
The BVMA was founded in July 1991 as the representative body of German-speaking CROs (Contract Research Organizations). The association is based in Munich. Currently, 50 companies active in the field of clinical research, both nationally and internationally, are members of the association (as of September 2024) as well as one honorary member. The association held its symposium for the 32nd time this year.
