BIO Deutschland holds its general assembly in Cologne

On 7 November, the members of the sector association of the biotechnology industry, BIO Deutschland, convened in Cologne for their eneral assembly on the margins of BIO-Europe, the international partnering conference for pharma and biotech professionals. In addition to the end-of-year review, the approval of the annual financial statement, the discharge of the board and a presentation of the board’s strategy for the coming year, the association’s various working groups informed members about their activities. Peter Heinrich, Chairman of the Board of BIO Deutschland, commented: “Over the past year we have engaged in important substantive work, as shown, for example, by our contribution to the pharma dialog, our frequent meetings with ministry officials and policymakers and our numerous statements on proposed legislation. We have also resolutely pushed forward the implementation of the association strategy adopted by members last year. We are therefore increasingly well positioned to tackle the political challenges of 2017.”
