BIO Deutschland Meets Bioeconomy Delegation from Brazil

During a visit to Germany, a Brazilian delegation from the biotechnology and bioeconomy sectors met representatives of BIO Deutschland on 16 March. Over an informal lunch, the association informed the Brazilian delegates about the German biotechnology sector and about BIO Deutschland’s tasks and aims. Afterwards, there was time for questions and discussion, which focused on bio-ethanol production in Brazil and on the social and political differences between Germany and Brazil as regards promoting and supporting this sector. The delegates also expressed an interest in collaborating with German companies and in technology transfer in Germany.
