BIO Deutschland welcomes US delegation

More than 20 representatives from government and business visited BIO Deutschland’s headquarters on 14 October. Michael Kahnert and Claudia Englbrecht received the delegation and introduced them to the German biotech sector and the domestic policy environment. The members of the delegation showed particular interest in how the cutting-edge field of biotechnology is viewed differently on the two sides of the Atlantic and in the challenges German companies face in raising sufficient venture capital. Also discussed were the opportunities for German companies to set up operations in the United States as well as for investing US capital in Germany.
