Board Meeting and Closed Meeting of the BIO Deutschland Board in Constance

In the light of the challenges that innovative small and medium-sized biotech companies in Germany must currently face, the board of BIO Deutschland discussed the strategic direction of the association’s work on 21 July during a closed meeting following its second board meeting of this year. The meeting was held on the premises of GATC Biotech AG in Constance.

At the meeting, which was chaired by Peter Buckel, one of the founding members of BIO Deutschland and the managing director of SuppreMol GmbH, the board focused on the topics of funding, lobbying and public relations. The subjects discussed included the further intensification of lobbying and focusing on contributions made by biotechnology to sustainability, healthcare and the improvement of nutrition.

The board will report on the results of its closed meeting at the AGM on 4 October, which will take place in the run-up to Biotechnica in Hanover.
