EUCOPE Legal Working Group meets in Berlin
In mid-September the constituent meeting of the Legal Working Group of BIO Deutschland’s European partner EUCOPE was held in Berlin. BIO Deutschland was represented at the meeting by a representative from its office. Items on the agenda included a report on France’s Sunshine Act, which makes it a statutory requirement for all interactions between pharma and biotech firms and healthcare representatives to be declared publicly; an overview presentation of the changes introduced by the Pharmaceutical Care Strengthening Act (AMVSG); and an explanation of Germany’s new anti-corruption rules for the healthcare sector (sections 299a and 299b of the German Criminal Code). In other matters, participants chose Christian Dierks of Dierks + Bohle Rechtsanwälte as chairman of the Working Group and set priority areas for the Group’s activities.
The Working Group will focus on the following topics:
- Compliance
- IP issues
- Court procedures/interventions
- Reimbursement: value-based services
- Digital health
