Final board meeting of 2021

Following the CEO & CFO meeting, the BIO Deutschland’s board met in Berlin for its fourth meeting of the year. The board members primarily discussed the outcome of the coalition talks and the formation of the new German government, as well as the direction of the association’s policy and publics affairs activities for 2022. The three-party constellation in the government is particularly exciting in terms of the issues the association is working on. Fortunately, the coalition agreement addresses biotechnology and other important association topics more than ever before. The board members also discussed this year’s Biophorie competition, which is doing successful work to educate the public about biotechnology and its potential. They rounded out the meeting by admitting new members and evaluating the activities and achievements of the working groups.
