First-ever Biotech Innovation Spotlight focuses on liquid biopsy

On 22 November, BIO Germany Deutschland hosted its inaugural digital Biotech Innovation Spotlight (BIS) on the topic of liquid biopsy. The conference was initiated and organized by the Liquid Biopsy Task Force. In addition to keynote speeches by Claudia Ivascu, Innovation Lead at Roche, and Andreas Frank, Chief Operating Officer at TRIGA-S Scientific Solutions, the programme featured two panel discussions on “Regulatory and reimbursement of liquid biopsy” and “Pathways to wider application”. In the afternoon, companies had the opportunity to present themselves in short pitches. The conference was rounded off by breakout sessions with very lively discussions on the combination of different biomarkers and on the data needed to detect cancer cells at an early stage.
