Fourth board meeting of 2015 held in Reutlingen

BIO Deutschland’s board convened for last time in 2015 after the CEO & CFO Meeting. The board members reviewed the past year’s activities and expressed their strong satisaction with the association’s achievements in 2015. BIO Deutschland made great strides, particularly in terms of its political visibility and acceptance as evidenced by participation in the Pharma Dialogue and discussions with Federal Ministers Altmaier, Gröhe and Wanka and numerous state secretaries.

The board also deliberated on the association’s strategic positioning as well as its policy direction and key focus areas for 2016. In addition to officially instating new members, the board discussed next year’s activities and adopted next year’s budget. The spokesperson of the Council of German BioRegions, Klaus Eichenberg, and BIO Deutschland Managing Dirctor, Viola Bronsema, reported on the progress of preparations for the 2016 German Biotechnology Days, which will be held in Leipzig in April.
