BIOTECHNICA 2015 – with the new Bio-IT marketplace

One ticket for two trade fairs – for the first time ever, Deutsche Messe AG will be organising the BIOTECHNICA, to be held from 6 to 8 October 2015, accompanied by the new LABVOLUTION. In so doing, it is bringing a diverse mix of industries to Hanover. One of the key issues of the two exhibitions will be the trend towards biologisation and digitisation. The BIOTECHNICA 2015 will feature a new focal point with the Bio-IT marketplace, adding to the existing Bioeconomy and Personalised Medical Technologies marketplaces. Furthermore, the marketplaces will now be centrally located at BIOTECHNICA PLAZA, which has been conceived as the heart of the trade fair and the central contact point for the three focal topics including forum programmes on two stages, and also as a meeting place for networking and partnering. At the Bio-IT marketplace, issues such as the processing and storage of large (genomic) data, the use of biomolecules in computers and data/legal certainty will all play a major role. The content will be structured in collaboration with BIO Deutschland’s Bio-IT and Big Data working group. The Personalised Medical Technologies marketplace will also be supported by BIO Deutschland in its capacity as a partner. Exhibitors here include diagnostic firms, biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical companies, suppliers from the fields of medical technology and bioinformatics and clinical research organisations. The marketplace is directed at visitors interested in research and development in the fields of diagnostics and therapeutics, along with scientists and health professionals from the inpatient and home care environments. The BIOTECHNICA will also highlight its eminent strengths as the European meeting place for the fields of biotechnology and life sciences. For the past 30 years now, industry and science have used the BIOTECHNICA for locating products, technologies and cooperation opportunities. For the first time ever, Deutsche Messe AG will also offer a professional partnering service for BIOTECHNICA and LABVOLUTION exhibitors and visitors – free of charge.
