Guidelines for a joint German-Russian funding competition

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has announced guidelines for a German-Russian funding competition jointly organised with the Russian Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises (FASIE) in the area of applied, industry-related research and cooperation between innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The aim of the funding measure is to support innovative German-Russian research projects that focus on future technologies.

Funding is available for high-risk industrial research and pre-competitive development projects that cut across different technologies and that are application oriented, such as the development of prototypes or demonstrators.

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has announced guidelines for the funding of research projects related to “Biodiscovery – Bioactive molecules from the marine environment” under the Marine Biotechnology ERA-NET consortium.

Funding is available for application-oriented, scientifically and economically high-risk research and development projects. Applicants are required to restrict their research to the identification of bioactive compounds and other useful properties that offer commercial potential and that are derived from marine biomass. Research should be focused on biological materials obtained from one or more of the following sources:
