37th meeting of the Council of German BioRegions
The Council of German BioRegions assembled for its 37th meeting at Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technologie GmbH. One of the meeting’s key themes was communication. The opportunities and limits to knowledge transfer on the Internet were discussed along with the proposal of the Indian Consul General Vidhu P. Nair to create a comprehensive brochure about the German biotechnology industry for the Indian market. The BioRegions’ autumnal information offensive “Biotech>inside” was also discussed this year. The events organised within this framework provide a cross-section of the German biotechnology regions in terms of both content and location – from north to south and from east to west. This year’s programme will be published shortly. Furthermore, the Council of German BioRegions decided to admit InfectoGnostics Forschungscampus Jena e. V. into its ranks. The Council’s next meeting will be held at the Bio-Europe on 2 November in Munich.
