Meeting of the Healthcare Industries “Round Table”

On September 3, the 3rd Sherpa Round Table Healthcare Industry (RTGW) meeting took place at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWK). The associations active in the industrial healthcare sector are represented at the RTGW. The topics on the agenda this time included data protection, resilience and the reduction of critical dependencies, sustainability, health diplomacy, export strength and growth, market participation of start-ups and key technologies. For the latter topic, BIO Deutschland offered a workshop for interested stakeholders. A follow-up event is being planned.

Federal Minister Robert Habeck launched the RTGW at the end of 2022 together with Franziska Brantner, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, and leading representatives of the industrial healthcare sector. The focus of this dialog format, in which BIO Deutschland represents the innovative biotechnology sector, is on a joint exchange on how to strengthen the competitiveness of companies, improve conditions in Germany and make the industrial healthcare sector more visible. The RTGW should facilitate the exchange of knowledge and constructive dialog throughout the entire legislative period, identify measures needed and provide a push to already proposed legislation.
