Publication of industry key figures - decline in turnover, growth in research expenditure

Together with EY, BIO Deutschland presented the “German Biotech Report 2025” at a digital press conference on May 20. The publication contains comprehensive analyses of financing, M&A, clinical pipelines, assessments and comments on the state of the sector as well as the industry's key figures. Both turnover (-8%) and the number of employees (-5%) fell in 2024 compared to 2023. By contrast, the number of companies (+2%) and investments in research and development (+4%) have risen slightly.
