Second board meeting of 2017 held in Berlin

On 16 May, after the parliamentary breakfast, BIO Deutschland’s board convened in Berlin for the second time of the year. Items on the agenda included discussion on cooperation within the BDI, updates from the Council of German BioRegions, reports on public affairs work and events in the first half of 2017, as well as further preparations for the general assembly and board election scheduled for 18 September in Berlin. The board also discussed the upcoming Bundestag elections and discussed ways that BIO Deutschland can ensure that the importance of biotechnology is included in the various election programmes. In addition, the board deliberated on membership development and the association’s growth potential. 

The board will next meet in Berlin after the general assembly.
