Successful CEO & CFO Meeting in Dresden

On the first Thursday and Friday in December, BIO Deutschland traditionally organises the biotechnology industry’s annual CEO & CFO Meeting. This year, some 80 participants came to Dresden to listen to keynote speeches by CEOs from a variety of industry areas and to present their own companies in a friendly and cooperative atmosphere. The welcoming speech was given by regional policymaker Hartmut Mangold, who is a state secretary at the Saxon State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labour and Transport (SMWA) and also its administrative head. In the evening, guest speaker Alexander Gerybadze, who holds the Chair for International Management and Innovation at the University of Hohenheim, provided insight into fundamental ideas behind “Innovation Deutschland AG” and posed the question: How should we position ourselves in the key technology sectors of the 21st century?
