Third board meeting of 2020

The board met on the day after the General Assembly to discuss its activities since the previous meeting. A large part of the meeting was devoted to the adapting the association’s activities to the current pandemic situation. The board members discussed possibilities and ideas for initial meetings, the necessity to carry the 2021 edition of German Biotechnology Days forward to autumn, and the strategic further development of the association’s work. At the beginning of the year the board held a strategy round table, which is now to be revised and realigned due to the rapid changes and the “new normal”. As it is currently not possible to make reliable statements about the further development of the pandemic, the board wants to incorporate sufficient flexibility into the strategy in order to be able to react to the rapidly changing conditions.
