Working Group on Regulatory Matters Debates New Topics and Projects

On 15 December 2011, the experts from the Working Group on Regulatory Matters held a conference call to discuss the findings of the survey of the BIO Deutschland members. The aim of the survey, which was conducted in the fourth quarter of 2011, was to provide the working group with a new direction in order to be able to tackle topics based on members’ wishes in the future. The survey showed that the members are equally interested in information and discussion on current new developments in the field of regulatory affairs and in assistance with the various stages of licensing.

The working group’s members identified preliminary ways of implementing the top five topics, which are to be drafted in time for the next meeting in Berlin on 15 February 2012. Among other activities, two information flyers are to be produced: one will contain tips on finding and evaluating good (further training) events, while the other will be a list of “do’s and don’ts” for scientific advice. In addition, work is to be carried out on a suggested forum where members can discuss regulatory issues.

The suggestions for implementing activities will be discussed again at the working group’s meeting in February.

BIO Deutschland members are welcome to request a copy of the minutes from the association’s office.
