The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), together with BIO Deutschland, hosted a symposium on the industrial bioeconomy on 2 September. The symposium also honoured the lifetime achievements of Christian Patermann, who celebrated his 80th birthday in August.
Under the motto “What does the turning point mean for the transformation? – Contributions of the bioeconomy ”, the interim results of the Bioeconomy Council’s work were presented in panel discussions and interactive plenary sessions and debated by participants in various formats.
BIO Deutschland participated in the conference entitled “Biotech Ecosystem Germany – What’s Next?”, which was organised by the BMBF-funded research project Biotech Ecosystem Germany (www.professors.wi.tum.de/cefs/biotech-research/) of the Technical University of Munich.
