Meeting of the Working Group on Human Resources [formerly the Working Group on Education and the Labour Market (HR)

On 19 February, the Working Group on Education and the Labour Market (HR) met in Munich and changed its name to the Working Group on Human Resources during the course of the meeting.

The 19 participants had two short presentations on the following topics:

  • Models for Employee Investment in Public Companies and Private Limited Companies
  • The Latest Remuneration Figures in the Biotech and Pharmaceutical Sectors

The working group decided that it would cover the following subjects:

  • Remuneration and survey on remuneration
  • Compilation of an overview of training and further training opportunities in the pharmaceuticals and biotech sectors
  • Organisation of (business studies) training workshops for the member companies
  • Internationalisation in the area of human resources
  • Provision of further training courses in the area of personnel development and staff retention for member companies
  • Analysis of the job advantages in biotech and Big Pharma: strategic personnel work in small and large biotech companies as well as possible differentiation from the pharmaceutical sector
  • Participation in employment portals in the internet; evaluation and improvement of the Eurobiojobs job porta

n addition, Professor Dr Sabine Köpper (PKCie Management Consultants) was unanimously elected as chairperson of the working group.

The working group’s next meeting will be held on 25 September from 10.00 until around 17.00 in Mannheim. The following topics are currently on the agenda:

  • Management of growth and organisation development in biotech companies: presentation of the working group’s results followed by discussion
  • MBA courses for staff from biotech companies: presentation of the working group’s results followed by discussion
  • Study on remuneration
  • Evaluation / suggestions for improvement of the Eurobiojobs job portal
  • Planning of the working group’s fourth meeting
