The Working Group on Communication and Public Relations Meets in Berlin to Discuss Project Work

At the end of June 2012, the communications and media experts from BIO Deutschland’s Working Group on Communication and Public Relations held a workshop in Berlin to discuss a concept for presenting biotechnology to the public.

The participants compiled suggestions and discussed the implementation of a wide-ranging national media campaign. As a project by BIO Deutschland’s Working Group on Communication and Public Relations, the aim of the campaign is to explain the concept of biotechnology using examples. The largest possible audience should be reached via a combination of various TV reports, print and online articles. The aim is to improve comprehension of this sector and its products among the public.

The group will discuss an initial draft concept and decide on the next steps during a teleconference scheduled for the beginning of August 2012.
